On Saturday, June 6, 2009, Picture Rocks Fire District (PRFD) broke ground on the district's new fire station at 7341 N. Sandario Rd. Our thanks to Pima County Supervisor, Sharon Bronson, for taking the time to help us celebrate. The station is expected to be completed in approximatley nine months.

June 16, 2009 - Site dirt work nearing completion
June 22, 2009 - The dirt work continues.

June 28, 2009 - The building pad is finished and prepared for underground utilities and concrete footers.
July 1, 2009 - Underground utilities starting to go in.

July 12, 2009 - The electric trench being backfilled and compacted.
July 15, 2009 - Formwork and rebar going in for footers.
July 19, 2009 - Rebar and forms continue to go in.
July 22, 2009 - Footers are being poured and the plumbing rough-in is beginning.

August 8, 2009 - Scaffolding for erecting the vehicle bays.
